We have now installed a wordpress blog and are undergoing testing. This will go live in a few days after Carol has applied her skills at getting it into shape.

Hello, I’m Susan DemIr and I live In a small town In the south west of turkey. I have been living here for over 18. Years and over these years I have somehow managed to collect a large number of stray dogs and cats, plus the odd rabbit, goat, bird and many tortoise, toad, frog and a gecko.

This is our continuing story. I hope It will amuse, Interest and touch you, most of all I hope It will urge you to take pity on the stray animals you might meet If you live or holiday here and If you only see them on this web site you can still change their lives by sponsoring a sterilization operation or adopting one of these wonderful animals.

New advice centre has opened in Mugla, that aims to give all tourists and residents an helping hand when in Turkey. alo179 is open 24/7 and can be reached from a landline by dialing 179..
The 2004 Animal Protection Law calls for the registration of all dogs whether they have owners or whether they are strays. Another requirement calls for all dogs to be neutered and inoculated against rabies. Experience has shown that these last two requirements are the key to the future control and well-being of pets, and therefore vital to their interaction in urban societies.
