What a fantastic night!! Thank you to all those who came along to support us, you will know how well the evening went, but for those of you who could not be there, this is a quick run-down of the night.
We were lucky enough to have the expert in-put of ANGIE, a true professional in fund-raising, and performing, she made the night, she carried us all along with her and her antics on and off "stage" had us cracking-up. Thank you Angie, you are one in a million, a star.
Angie's hard work in putting it all together made it the success it was. And Thank you to all the people who made donations, there will a spot about them in a few days time.
Well we were lucky to hold the "do" in a bar called " Friends", and it really was a lovely relaxed warm place, the staff made a great effort, specially
Memhet-can. He did so much to help too, and he has promised us continued support, so we hope to be having another doggy-evening in about a month. Hope to see all the people from last night again, plus a lot of new faces.
We raised the incredible sum of 903. Turkish Lira. And that will be going towards the fencing-in of a piece of land for the dogs and I to live on. And of course to feeding them, that is on-going of course, this has made such a difference already, they all had "treats" today, some special sweet biscuits, so they were very happy, so every-one who donated, you have already made a lot of doggy-tails "wag" a lot!!
We had some good fun last night, with "guess the name of the dogs", "pin the tail on the donkey", "play your cards right" and lots more.
There was live music, which really made the night special, Thank-you so much to "Andy" and his friend, they really made the night special, and played all our favourites. (Hope they are coming to the next "do".)
well thats all for now, there will be lots more about last night in the coming days I'm sure, but I cant close without mentioning "JANE",
we only met recently when she came to live in the next village, but it is all down to her that event ever took place, she introduced me to all these people who have helped, and she worked tirelessly on the internet getting in touch with people, getting them to help, and most importantly, getting them to support the poor dogs I care for. She is the very best thing that has happened in our lives.
Our heartfelt thanks, and keep up the internet support group, without Jane there would not have been a "doggy-do" at all.
so good night to every-one, it has been the most horrible stormy day, thank God it was not like this yesterday!
All the dogs are tucked-up in their beds, if they could talk I know they would be thanking everyone too, Please make do with lots of "wooofs".
