Spring - springing or not?

Lovely change in the weather. From cold and rainy, the last few days, today was really warm, sunny, blue sky, Spring has arrived!

If only!

Last week Sami, (Tango pension owner) gave me the first wild narcissi, someone had been in the mountains and brought them back, they look so fragile, but have the strongest scent, maybe Spring really is near.

Today my friend Evelyn went to Fethiye, she was captivated by the wild Pelicans that have made a home in the harbour area. At first there was only one, now he has been joined by a mate. It is an uplifting sight to watch them head off to the open sea to fish.

Years ago in Izmir I saw my first wild Pelicans, they were calmly sitting on the promenade, sunning themselves, completely ignoring the people and traffic passing close by.
